- - - - Things in life were going great. Ithika had Rosie and wasn't raising her alone as was her worry from the moment she had initially gotten pregnant. She had a great guy that was living with her and he seemed to care deeply about her. Yet there was just some tugging feeling in her stomach that she couldn't figure out why she was so bored with her life. Settling down in one spot was never really her thing. Even when Ithika dated Caspian and he was consistently cheating on her, she never felt this way. If he cheated, she'd rage at him and they'd argue, he'd push her around, she'd throw him out, and run off to call his brother to cry at him until she felt better. Then when things became boring, she would up and run off to another country or have an affair with Cassius or some random boy that she thought she could bring home. In her mind, it was the "mature" thing to do; show her boyfriend what it felt like to be cheated on or walked out on. Now, it left her in a rut. What was she really doing with her life? It left her letting her frustrations be taken out on her best friend. Which made her feel all the more guilty. Her plans of going out of the country had changed, but she couldn't be bothered letting anyone know this fact. It was probably for the best being that she would have shown up in Greece complete unexpected and wasn't quite sure what she would show up to witness. Packing up her bag quickly to take away for the next few days, she figured she may as well at least attempt to contact her friend considering how weird she had been acting to her. Tugging her cell phone from the side pouch of her luggage, she entered the Skype application - seeing that Layla was on - and pressed call. The second it stopped ringing and Layla's image popped up on the screen, Ithika couldn't help but break into a bit of a ramble at the blonde. Ugh, I feel like shit for being so weird with you the other day. This is just not really a fun and games vacation, you know? I'm so sorry I've been taking my personal issues out on you. Please forgive me?
As soon as she finished speaking, she couldn't help but attempt to smile and change the subject. It tended to be her default; apologize and then act as if nothing had happened. So tell me all about your day and life! I've been so disconnected from you lately. TAGGED layla, obviouslyy. LISTENING TO CONAN. NOTES i suck at starting these things! - - - - It was hard to admit she was actually happy. Months ago Layla wasn't even ready to go out on a date. So it was hard to comprehend that she could be in a legitimate relationship. But Ciro wasn't bad for her, he pour up with her sarcasm and sense of humor. Even wanted to take her to Spain. Although it thrilled her, she couldn't really take him seriously. She'd spend days with him and teach her how to cook but she still couldn't get the thought of what her ex or even Cassius would think out of her head. It seemed like he genuinely cared about her. Part of her missed when things were boring. When she could go to work without seeing her ex or feel guilty about how she treated her sister. It was easy to half-ass her work in school. But that was over now for summer and all of the sorority girls were gone. Sometimes she wished that she could just be done and drop out. There was nothing more that Layla lovedd than her work but sitting in class never interested her. Just giving up on it wasn't really an option. Her parents had always pressured their girls to get into good schools, and luckily they did. The same one, actually. Though it never even occured to her when she accepted the scholarship. At the time she wasn't even speaking to Grace. The first goal she made when she came to New York was to just erase the last year from her memory even though she knew that probably wasn't the most mature way of dealing with things. Up until a month ago she had thought that it was succesful. Her best friend had told her that she could get over this. All of her past coming back. But even though she admired how Ithika had handled things Truthfully, she missed her friend. Though lately she'd been acting strange. Only thirty minutes ago she'd found out that she'd be leaving the country. Hoping that she'd be able to speak to her before she left, Layla signed on to skype. When she saw the call she was relieved but the instant she heard her friend rambling about the vacation her first instincy was to roll her eyes. It's fine. really. Sorry to hear that though. She responded as she quickly she moved the laptop to her bed. Not much to tell I guess. The last thing she wanted to was to dump all her problems on her.
TAGGED ithika/rae LISTENING TO blades of glory NOTES this is a tragic, rambly mess.

- - - - Tucking a few stray hairs behind her ear, Ithika made a certain effort to be as focused on Layla as possible. She could barely make out the last time she sat back and just let Layla put all of her griefs on her, whereas she felt like it was a weekly occurance that Ithika would essentially whine and complain about everything in life to her best friend, without much of a complaint in return. The last time she truly remembered Layla seeming upset was when her ex had come to town and Ithika had no idea how badly it must have sucked to have been in her shoes. If Caspian showed up at her doorstep, she was certain she was probably have a moment of weakness and have no clue what to do. If Theodore showed up at her door, she knew she would completely embarrass herself. Layla's position was certainly a bit different, though. hey, look, i'll make you a deal. if you want, you can come with me. i'll just have to leave you for like...
She paused to contemplate exactly what she was planning on saying or doing once she hit Greek soil. well, probably just a couple hours. No more than a day, for sure. Pursing her lips and furrowing her brow, Ithika contemplated Layla's words. There had to be something and she was certain that something was being kept from her. come on, kid, there has to be something going on in your life. tell me literally everything. Making herself comfortable, she had essentially decided that she was not hanging up until Layla got out even the most trivial of matters on her mind. - - - - Layla took a second to think about the offer. She did miss her friend but she was only kidding when she'd asked to come along in the first place. So she just shook her head. "Yeah i'm not so sure that's a good idea. But I hope you have fun, really. And if you don't send pictures i'm going to kill."
She tried to remember why Ithika had been going to Greece anyway. Something with Theo or Zivi, she guessed. Not knowing all this was starting to make her feel like a shitty friend. She knew that her being evasive wasn't helping that. "how long will you be gone again" she asked knowing that she should've just checked her texts or something since she'd already tried telling her about the trip before. "It's just kind of a long story, you know? Work sucks, boys suck. You know?" Giving her the short part already made her feel a little better. "Also, I apologize for the random bitchyness last time we talked. I'll make it up to you. When we you get back we'll have a Will Ferrell Marathon or something fun, okay?" Hoping that by then things would be back to normal. LISTENING TO taylor swift xD NOTES this took forever even though it's super short and it sucks. DONT KILL ME. also i have missed these two c: [/sup][/blockquote][/blockquote]
