straight white teeth chomped against bitter tasting nail enamel, her toes tapping nervously against the ground. she had no concept of what the time was, because she did not own a cell phone. however, it was getting dark outside and mosquito had started to nip at the skin. she allowed them to do; it was only the circle of life after all. they needed her blood just as she needed a hamburger, and atleast she could provide them with a little nutrition with out loosing her own life. she'd made plans previous to meet grayson here earlier and she was regretting showing up, waiting, and looking quite lonely in the mass of happy people. she watched them eagerly, running a finger lazily through her hair, smoke from her cigarette swirling into the lungs of those around her. little botther, just a contribution to an earlier demise and almost certainly a favor.
she felt cool, clammy, and out of sorts. a little nervous really with anxiety zigzagging through her stomach at top speed. really, just what did she think she was doing here? she'd worked so hard to preserve her anonmity throughout the years, she felt foolish and stupid for messing it up. truth was, she found herself terribly lonely. a certain kind of lonely she'd never really known existed prior to moving, assuming that the things she felt previous had been the end all and be all; the worst of the worst. cutting ties had been easy at first, but after moving from nebraska she quickly came to the conclusion that she didn't know how to make friends. back home, all relationships seemed forced and set in stone. she was forever popular, and stuck in her mold. in new york she found the same had happened; only her comfort zone had become one of extreme despair. curiously, she looked around one more time. maybe he wasn't going to show up. in truth, that might have been the easier option. maybe she should just get up right now and walk away, maybe it would make this entire thing better.
taking a final look around, she heaved a sigh her back becoming rigid. that was it, he wasn't coming and thank god. she quickly threw her cigarette to the ground, grabbing the book that had been beside her and got up in a frenzy. pulling her sunglasses down, she started to make paces. no harm, no foul. she'd never been there in the first place.
