ok i actually have to go to back home for a reason. you remember my mum's friend cecily? well her son, not the smart one, the drongo. well he's only just turned fifteen. and cece was sitting downstairs, having a tea, and all of a sudden he comes down. and apparently he was dead still for a solid five minutes, and finally he was like.. "i have a kid" and she waited, and waited for him to say he was just joking, but he never said so. so his little girlfriend, gave birth friday in her bathroom! on her bathroom floor. can you believe that? her sister delivered her. and now it's my job to go there, and talk him into adoption. because this boy is dead set on keeping this child.

you obviously don't get it. he is fifteen years old, he is going to be thirty and have a fifteen year old son. he's been kicked out of his second school, he practically beats his own mum, and he thinks he should have a child.

i think he should too. the fact he wants to keep it shows a serious amount of responsibility, it could be the making of him.

he's bragging about it, he thinks it's something to be proud of. and do you know i called him? and he told me to, "tate still has a life" so not only was that offensive, but he proceeded to tell me that he's not about to take advice from me, and hung up.

babe, talking isn't about me just agreeing with everything you say. i'm listening, alright? i just think maybe you're being a little harsh on him, maybe he really does want this for the right reasons. you're being kinda hypocritical.

i understand that, but i don't think you're seeing the full picture here. the girls mum told her she's going to start nailing him for child support, which isn't even possible at fifteen. but she can go after cece, and she doesn't have the money, so they're going to go after their house, which is all they have. no i'm not, i was old enough, i could handle this- we had a fair share of support.

do you want to take my cheque book? i'm not saying i'll cover his child support, but giving them a one off sum might buy you guys some time to think rationally and sort shit out.

no, absolutely not. she would never take it and i would never offer that, it's not actually my problem at the end of the day. but you've already just boosted yourself a step closer to being out of the negatives!

alright, if you're sure. make sure you take my westpac card with you, if you use the amex it'll rack up huge fees. and don't worry about adelle, honestly, it'll be nice having some father-daughter time.
