[/i] paolo amable buzalaname,
age, [/i] thirty
high school, [/i] Ecole d’Humanité - Switzerland
who were you in high school?
i attended a boarding school so whatever reputation you had from the first step you took in that school, is the one you're labelled with practically you're whole life. you can't escape it since you're surrounded by the same people for 24 hours each day for four years straight - unless its the holiday's and you're back home safe. but me, i didn't have to worry about escaping, or even want to escape. from the first day i was sent by my parents to attend this new boarding school, with no say - i was already known as the reggae-lover-pothead-lovestruck-kid by all my peers. i was fine with it, because in the beginning of my first two high school years at that boarding school i wanted to find myself. so i relied on my peers to label me as what they saw me as. that was the only way i knew who i really was, which was by what people saw me as.
college & major, [/i] columbia university & major in film studies
marital status, [/i] engaged against will
kids, [/i] n/a
how many, n/a
names & how you chose it, n/a
job, [/i] location scout for indie films
position, one of the five location scouts
how long you’ve had the job, for about three years now, officially. but before i got the job i volunteered for an indie film director.
are you happy, it pleases me to be on set of an actual film and being a part of it in the making.
what is your salary, a weekly salary of $1,000
what kind of things do you spend money on, the necessities, fine dining, and treating/spoiling my daughter with presents.
what’s your typical day like, [/i]
my day starts at 5 a.m. and usually ends about midnight, unless i want to work over time or go out for leisure. i have a daughter from my first marriage, and my first wife was really a pain and she didn't want to take care of my daughter, maella. so now it's my duty to wash her, feed her and spoil her with presents. however, my parents can't help seeing me alone and taking care of a daughter by myself, so they arranged my marriage with a woman i've never heard of or seen. maella won't like her. so aside from trying to convince my parents to leave my personal life alone, i work everyday on set of small indie films that may or may not make it. i listen non-stop to my ipod filled with reggae and bob marley and jazz music; even while on set. then on free days i spend time with the guys and sometimes i take maella along - i don't think they have a problem with that. or they may. but i have to watch over her so they can deal with it.
what life dreams did you have in high-school, have you accomplished them, [/i]
i didn't have many dreams except for being the next bob marley. but that never happened. and my other dream was to be the first kid to smoke pot right in front of a professor. i did, and got expelled senior year.
what is a significant change within the past five years, [/i]
i got a stable job and i'm raising my daughter, maella, alone.
are you the same person you were five years ago, [/i]
possibly, but i can never tell what changed about me within a day. not even my weight or height, because i never find it necessary to look after those things.
if you could go back and change one thing what would it be, [/i]
telling my parents about my personal love life.
what is one thing you feel has remained the same, [/i]
my love for music and smoking.
what is your biggest achievement, [/i]
actually learning to take care of maella and having a stable job, and all the while not easily giving up like i always do.
and your biggest mistake, [/i]
telling my first wife i hate her and that she should kill herself. i had no idea what she was going through mentally. she wouldn't have done what she did, if it weren't for my stupidity.
finally, what is your fondest life memory thus far,[/i]
nothing seems to have been that significant to be my fondest life memory yet.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub][/font]
